Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the United States and is a photographer and journalist. For more than forty-five years she has focused her work on reporting the suffering of people, particularly during war and natural catastrophes. Curry reported on conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry, (born November 19th 1956, Agana American journalist and television anchor and news reporter who was most well-known for her role as a correspondent on the Today show a morning news show that was telecast through the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry was well-known for her coverage of catastrophes caused by natural causes and humanitarian crises that took place in war-ravaged regions. Curry's mother is Japanese and her father was an American Navy Sailor. Following World War II, her parents came together while her father was serving in Japan. Because of her father's military service, the family relocated often. Curry finished her high schooling within Ashland Oregon. In 1978, she graduated in 1978 from in the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in journalism. It is possible that she developed an empathetic communication style through her exposure to diverse cultures in her early years. Ann Curry has been a famous American journalist since early 1990s. Curry did not have the opportunity to attend one school in Alameda, San Diego Oregon, or Virginia over the course of two years, due to her family moved often. In the end, she was able to graduate from Ashland High School. In Medford where she began her broadcasting career at KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. at the age of 22, she became the station's first female reporter. In Portland in Oregon, she was appointed anchor as well as a reporter for KGW NBC's affiliate. After four years, she relocated into Los Angeles and became a journalist at KCBS TV. Through her KCBS-TV relationship of six years She was honored with 2 Emmy Awards.
